My name is Aza( um Moumen)

I am teaching level 3a Quran. In this group I have Shoaeb, Areed, Fahim, Adam, Mahdy, Ayman, Hassan, Suzanne, and Afifa.

I started with them Surat Altakathir and inshaa Alah my goal to help them memorize as much as they can from Juz Amma. 

Also, I am teaching level 3b Arabic. I have in this group Dana, Goanna, Raneem, Sara, Malak, Laila, Abd Alwahd, Brakat, Ameen, and Sowad. 

Inshaa Alah I hope this group will be able to read easy passage in Arabic by the end of the year.

Also I am helping sister Abir in teaching Quran for level 4b. In this group we have Sara, Taif, Yasmin, and Nadine. 

Please if you have any questions or concerns about your child stop by.

May Alah reward all of you for bringing your children to the masjed.

Level 1 Islamic Studies

Assalam Alaykum parents,

Tomorrow we will be doing an in class project on Hajj and make Eid ul Adha greeting cards insha Allah

Students will learn about the fifth pillar of Islam -Hajj

Using a pen or pencil, draw a sheep and the words 'Eid Mubarak' onto a card (or paper folded in half). Let children apply glue to the inside of the sheep's body and place cotton wool on. Have children draw some pictures and write their name on the inside for a personalised touch. 

Level 2 Islamic Studies intro

Level 2 introduction

Welcome parents, my name is Aminah and I teach level 2 Islamic studies.

For this class I'd appreciate if the students have pencils, crayons or color pencils and a folder. 

It is important for students to come prepared with all supplies every Sunday. 

For level 2 Islamic studies we are using the weekend learning series level 1 book by Mansur Ahmad and Husain A. Nuri 

There is homework given every Sunday. Starting 9/28/14 I will be having parents sign their children's homework. Insha'Allah we have a great year.

Level 1 introduction 

As salamu alaykum

  Welcome parents, my name is Aminah and I teach level 1 Quran. 

For this class the kids do not need anything but a folder with prongs Insha'Allah.

Insha'Allah my plans for this year are to have the kids learn and memorize to the best of their abilities, Al-Fatihah to Al-Maa'un.

We will be working on Salaat for a while making sure everyone has a good understanding and has it down in shaa Allah. Not just movements but what to say as well, cuz...everyone is responsible for their own salaat even when praying with someone or behind an Imaam who's leading.
